Hello,

I have a 2001 Cobra vert with a bad motor. Rod knock.

I have the opportunity to purchase a Mach1 motor off a 5spd 2003.

From what I have learned the Mach1 motor has a different front cover, higher flowing heads, intake and valve covers.

If I put the Cobra front cover, valve covers and intake onto the Mach1 engine, will it all bolt right on and run as it should? Or is it more involved like engine harness etc?

Or is it best to drop the complete Mach1 engine into the Cobra?

I'm hoping that the only other thing to do is a nice tune if even necessary.

BTW I did research a swap for a while and could not find anything this specific. Saw a lot of threads on 03' Cobras or early style 98 Cobras with Mach1 motors, but not anything on a specific swap from 03' Mach1 into a 01' Cobra.

Hoping someone can shed some light. Want to pick up the motor tomorrow.
