even in this day and age and in this economy, people are still generous to give to the less fortunate. if you guys can spare a few bucks this christmas, it would help a family out a great bunch.

I gave at the office.. Plus we adopted a family in our city to get some stuff for kids so their Christmas will be a little better than not getting anything. I'm sure every city has this type thing going on for x-mas. I just hope everyone gets something they can use and maybe something they don't really need to survive, but something they can enjoy. I hate to see kids do without at least 1 good toy for Christmas. Santa is real to most children..

20 bones coming from the r3dn3ck family. I grew up that poor and I lucked out that I'm not that poor still (well... actually I busted my *** for 20 years). I have a 12yo daughter and it hurts me to think of her having to get off a bus in the middle of the night in some ghetto.

They're trying to get to 1500 bucks. I think it's really close, they're at least around 1200. CMON guys... hook it up and let's push them over the top. What's 20 bucks to most of us? We (I sure do) **** that much money away every day for crap but, it'll really mean something to that family. I donate a LOT to charitable causes and I never donate to individuals unless there's a chance to really affect someones life for the better. This looks like one of those chances. It's not a hand out, it's a hand up.

BTW... when I was 20 and my first child was on the way, I was living in my car. I know what it's like to try hard every day and get nowhere. All it takes to really have a chance at a great life is that 1 good thing to hit you like lightning. For me it was a job that had a future. For them it could be as easy as hope.
