New Mustang in family

my dad bought a 97 white cobra that dosen't have 5th gear for 5 grand so we now have the 96 cobra, 97 cobra, 03 Gt

Replacing it with a new tranny or rebuilding the tranny?

rebuilding.... it has 4.10's the guy says i haven't driven it yet but who knows.....
