Just bought a new Xenon hood scoop from a local Ford dealer here in Honolulu, but since this was the last one out on display, the box that it came in was missing the instructions, the adhesive tape and prep pads.
My guestion is how far forward from the back edge of the hood must I position the scoop before removing the tape? This scoop is for a 05GT.

i was lookin at some pics of that scoop and it looks like it goes right up to the back of the hood. go to the link below and look for yourself

The instructions that came with mine said 1/4" from the edge of the hood.

 

I put mine flush with the back of the hood.
