Have you ever found one that is real aluminum? Ive considered one myself but not real crazy about imitation aluminum or stainless steel.

I have the UPR brushed aluminum interior dress up kit and to be honest, some of the parts don't fit that good. If I could do it all over again I'd spend the extra $100 and get the roush kit. Sometimes you can find the roush kit on ebay for a little bit cheaper.

I wouldn't get overlays if I were you, If you stick it on wrong or mess it up then your out that piece. Just get a few billet items to add some personality and leave it at that. Plus they look a lot better.

I've had pretty good luck painting plastic. I believe MM&FF had an article in which they painted one of the editor's interiors (yellow trim, if I'm not mistaken - not my favorite treatment either). They painted the same parts usually included in the trim kits (door panel inserts around the door handles and power window panels - gauge surround - radio surround, etc).

I have a friend who used vinyl paint to paint his dash and some other pieces, and they looked good to me. He also used an aluminum color paint to paint some trim pieces - they looked better than the body color pieces!

Just an idea. My car is a triple black 02 convt., so I hesitate to interfere with the whole all-black theme - though i will be adding some billet pieces as time goes on. I found by searching EBay that certain individual billet items are available from small suppliers at about 1/2 the price of the UPR guys (I bought a billet shifter surround for $25 - it usually goes for over $50 from UPR). Caveat imptor (buyer beware), of course. Didn't see any of these small suppliers that offered entire interior kits, though...

Why don't yall just paint, your interior trim pieces?...I painted my black interior silver...i.e..door cups, dash bezel, shifter bezel, and the trim aournd the a/c vents!....way cheaper and looks better if done correctly!
