I'll have to disagree, it is NOT an issue deleting the PCV system and diverting it through the exhaust......

deleting the PCV system is not by itself always bad but allowing air containing oxygen into the exhaust pre bank-1 o2, is going to produce exactly the same result as an exhaust leak. EGR only recycles air into the engine from the exhaust, not the other way around.

Randy, school me. If I'm off base, I'd like to know.

So, It would make the car run rich and kill off power?

well I dont know what else to tell you, this has been a hot-topic for sometime but most people didnt agree wth the vented-breather type oil fill cap, saying this lets un-meter air into the engine, causing a lean condition...now I never had anyone question the presents of more oxygen in the exhaust causing problems.....all I can tell you is it works, worked on my car for alot of years and many others who have done this too.....sometimes I think people over-analyze things to to fine a point wthout trying something out......like I said it worked on my car just fine and way before it ever saw a dyno or had a "tune"

power wouldn't be an issue but gas mileage and emissions system component life would suffer. allowing an exhuast leak on a car with o2 sensors validating what a MAF is telling the ECU is just a bad idea. I've been playing around with the PCV system for 6 years making parts that won't screw stuff up. I've already thought out all the directions you can go with this crap. To think that you'd gain hp is ludicrous too. The one way check valve will close when the motor goes to WOT due to exhaust gas back pressure, which means that at WOT you'll have exactly no vacuum effect on your crankcase thereby nullifying the theorized gains from having negative pressure.

There's been a solution to this problem for nearly as long as there's been a crankcase. It's called a vacuum pump.

I had the breather setup cause a CEL and a stumbling idle (with associated lean condition). I had a tiny exhaust leak cause me to burn through a whole tank of gas in 90 miles.

Not saying it's not going to work for some but if one guy blows a cat over it then there's a problem.

just not true dude....drag cars and other forums of "race cars" have used E-Vac systems for years and using these "1 way" check valves and they do not close at WOT, hell even Mr Gasket and Moroso sell E-Vac kits. this is just a simpler and cheaper version of an E-Vac version for those who have done the EGR delete and want to get rid of the PCV system.... dont knock it untill you've tried it
