Ok so my check engine light came on yesterday and I changed my oil about less then 2 weeks ago. I checked it and I was a quart low. I topped it off and the engine light shut off but now it turned on again a couple of hours later. Also when I'm idling the RPM's will drop low sometimes.....basicly starts puttering. I went to autozone and they just gave me a huge list of what the problem could be and no straight answer. HERE IS WHAT I GOT: 1) misfire on bank 1, 2) Vacuum leak affecting bank 1 only, 3) Fuel injector problem bank 1, 4) Engine mechanical condition. Ok well also about a week ago I took off the plenum off my car and painted it. When I reinstalled it I forgot to connect the vacuum hose on the back of the plenum. I started it and it died 3 times so I went and checked it and realized what I did wrong and connected it and everything started up fine. I have an 03 gt with no major mods. If anyone has had this problem please let me know what I can do to fix it. Thanks

 

OK. Alot of drama. I did burn alot of oil and I could not figure it out. I finally realized I just had a dirty fuel injector but I still dont know why all that oil dissapeared. Anyways that was the problem and its good now.

 

Was the car backfireing???...or having a hard time starting up and staying running???
