i just go back from seeing Brand New in concert. the venue was great minus one band.....mewithoutYou or something. thrice played as well. it couldnt have been a better time, two of my favorite bands ever played (thrice, brand new).

btw, i learned that thrice was playing just a couple hours prior to the gates opening. lol. you shouldve seen my face lol

i'm not much of a thrice fan, but how was brand new live? i like chillin' to a couple of their songs on deja entendu.

Thrice use to be good. Their first 3 albums were great and then they changed their style. Saw them in concert before they turned and they were awesome.

 

their slower songs are pretty good. their new album (The Alchemy Index) is a mix of their new style and some of their old style. theyre awesome live, im already getting another ticket to a show just of them

 

The new cd does sound a bit like their last album (Vheissu) but nothing like there other albums (Artist in the Ambulance, The Illusion of Safety, and Identity Crisis) If you haven't heard any of those, I would suggest all three.
