hey just wondering if this is bad for my car. when i drive downtown (speed limit 35) i will sometimes throw it down to "2" in my v6 automatic. it makes the flows louder and also sounds like a hint of boost lol. is this bad for my tranny?

 

honestly i could not imagine it to be good for your car.

 

when you shift your car like that 1, 2, then drive it makes it slower, you should let it shift by itself and gettin tune it will makes the shifts firmer

 

upshifting is fine, but he is talking about downshifting which is really not that great for the tranny on an auto.

 

Let your tranny do what it was meant to........let me tell you it's not good and your asking for a expensive rebuild

 

no i'm just upshifting, i would never waste the time/tranny downshiftin

Just keep it in O/D and let it do its thing. You're not saving gas or anything by puttin' in 2nd.

wow you guys are pretty abusive to your tanny's. And how do you think your car sounds like it has a turbo? You may hear a little whistle from inside the car coming from your CAI, but i highly doubt it sounds like one outside.

 

no it not the tranny. whan i put my CAI on they didnt give me all the parts. I hate them for that but anyway so that tube that goes from the induction tube to i think the breather cap not sure, didnt fit so i made one my self its not completely sealed. thats why its makes the noise.

 

No man you wouldnt believe it its loud! not like blow off valve but loud. its funny all the ricers look at me. Yeah its bad and i wish i had a manual.
