Default 3.73 gear prob?

sorry for borthering all u about this again, but as i said before i feel little if no difference after installing the 3.73s. is there any way the shop incorrectly installed them or screwed me over by not installing them at all?? like how would i ever know if he actually just ripped me and kept the old ones in?

Block your front wheels and jack up the back of your car so that both wheels are off the ground. Put it in neutral. Mark your rear tire to some reference point where you can tell when it has turned 1 revolution. Mark your drive shaft and rearend where they meet. Now rotate your back wheel exactly 1 turn and count how many times the driveshaft turns. If it is just over 3 times you likely have the stock gears, if it turns almost 4 times (3.73 to be exact) you got your new ones.

You should have felt a slight increase, if not then it sounds like you got ripped off by this *******.

well, i got the gears back...and they were def 3.27s cause its engraved on the gears. anyway, i guess i expected a bigger gain (acceleration) b/c the gears are def installed.

first off, my rpms are higher (i redline quicker in every gear), secondly, im on the highway and my speedometer says like 85/90 while im going with the flow of traffic so something is obviously different.

im gonna get a my speedometer recalibrated and then i'll use that gear formula just to verify the change.

now that i have the 3.73s, though, i probably would have gone with the 4.10s

I just got my 4.10s in and love them, glad I did'nt go any lower. Tell you the truth if I ever redo them I might be tempted to go with 4.30s.
