Default Radio Removal 01 Premium GT

I just got an 01 GT I have a radio from my other mustang that I want to put in it? BUt im not sure how to get this radio out? Its the factory double din 6 disc changer. My 95 Gt was easy, 2 hangars and i was able to slide both radio and cd player out. but this one im not sure on?? Any help..

Anyone? I just need to get my stock 6 disc changer out so i can put my new sony radio in? Someone has to have taken theres out before???

You have to remove the bezel around the radio. Once you do, you will see the bolts holding the radio in. 7mm or 8mm. Don't remember which.

does the bezzel just pop off? My 95 had 2 screws behind the radio that held it in.. didnt know they were there till i pulled to hard and broke the piece? :-(

No, there are no screws. Make sure it is not cold outside, the plastic may be brittle. It does take some force to remove. Just pull straight back.

Keep in mind that the clips that hold the bezel to the dash are not the greatest in design.

LOL as long as he remembers he's working on a ford, that should come naturally...
