Default Midnight Madness

My first ever trip to the track and...Woooohoooo!!!OMG That was fun! Damn what a way to end the week and start the weekend. Best $10 I've spent in a while. This may become a regular thing.

Didn't do that well over all but for a complete noob, I'm pretty happy and I can't wait to improve. It's a small local 1/8 track with no print outs, so you have to rely on your friends to accurately report your times. R/T varied from .76 to .26 and my times were in the high nines.

Wish I had pics to share but the batteries went dead.

1/8th and no print outs.... find a nice 1/4 mile track that give your a slip as you're cruising back to the pit area.

This is a very small local track that opens up for street legals on the weekends. $10 bucks and you run as much as you can stand. There is another track a little way from here that some of the guys from the club go to that does more of that stuff. But right now, I'm just learning the basics of getting out there and going from one end to the other. Once I get better I'll be willing to pay a little more and worry about the time slips.

I've been down there before, Clarksville is near for Campbell right? I'd never seen as many Mustangs/Cobras before on the street like I've seen down there. I'm sure open night at the track was fairly packed.

Clarksville and Ft. Campbell are pretty much the same thing. Yep, with all the deployment money floating around there are alot of nice cars but Mustangs seem to be the most popular.

Even with the temps down near 20, there was a good crowd of people with just about every type of car made. But of course the mustangs all gathered together, we seem to be a much friendlier group than the average driver.

If the weather holds I plan to take the magnum this Friday.

why would you want to run the magnum, they are so slow that make the charger R/T fell fast.
