If i get that tune shifting correctly, I should be 13.5's all day. And trapping much higher.

Thanks bro. That tune is killing me, but hopefully we'll get it fixed. I'm going to call up Radical Racing (dynojet) today and see what their rates are. Street tires suck *** but I'm working with them, i'll definitely be getting a lighter set of wheel soon, some drag radials, and maybe look into nitrous down the road.

Your 60' are getting better, and there is nothing bad to say about getting those 2.0x 60' going now. The miles per hour does seem low for your mods though, also it is hot out so that will kill some of that. But your doing a good job and have made some good improvements.

Anyone have an idea on why we can't get this car to shift at a decent RPM? Brenspeed can't even figure it out. They have set the tuner down to as low as 5,100 and its still not shifting until 6,250 or higher.

I know that if it shifts at 5,750ish that i'll be hitting 4th right before the finish line. I'm not hitting 4th now.

find a new person to tune your transmission. my modular powerhouse tune shifts at 6k like clock work. my tony HP tune shifts at 6100 because he played with my converter settings. my converter would un lock at 5500 rpms now it doesnt but i hit the limiter if i have wheel spin, sucks.

the tq value maps are almost certainly off. those affect the shift function of the transmission on autos according to all the documentation I've ever read. get a better tuner and make sure they reset the adaptives on each retune.

Times updated.

Cliff notes: Ran a 12.62@109.51

It was pretty cold out, so traction was limited. Once It warms up a bit I can get my drag radials sticky and hopefully get into the 12.4x's.

YEAH congrats on the new times with the nitrous!!!

Where you letting it rip right out of the hole once over 3k? thats what I am assuming from the similar 60' times. You just need a converter with a higher stall so you can leave harder to really get that bitch rolling out.

Nice times. Get that tune fixed, and do what dustin said, and you may see high 11's

Yeah as soon as i'm over 3k I flip the switch.

It was just too cold to hook especially with nittos. Couldn't heat them up at all. The track was also poorly prepped for Atco. They usually are on top of their ****.

If i can get the tires sticky then definitely I can drop that 60' down to at least 1.7 and get into the 12.3x's or 12.4x's.

I don't think high 11's are a possibility without a converter.

I don't see you getting the 60' you need to go 11's without a converter in the car. But it never hurts to try

At best I could get a 1.7' 60' if the conditions are right. And that 60' would place me in the 12.2-12.4 range.

You should get a PI torque converter. I have one with a 3600 stall. I have only launched it once on the street at 3000 with the nitto dr's and that was without heating them up and it spinned pretty hard, but it wants to take off like a beast.

Cutting 1.1 sec off your best time is huge when you were already running in the 13s

:edit and adding 8 miles per hour to your trap is pretty fing sweet aswell
