Default Was at the track

last Sunday and was trying out my new Nitto drag radials. Anyhow I was approached for a race, by a 2000 GT for $50. I did not accept because it was my first couple passes on my drag radials, and I still had about 300 lbs. of speaker stuff in the trunk. I did race him for fun though I ran a 13.94 with a with a 1.96 60' at 98.xx mph.

He ran a 13.7 and told me it was stock except for a trottle body (70 mm) and a flowmaster muff. No gears or anything on street tires. Anybody ever heard of a mustang that is stock running these kinda of numbers in basicly a stock mustang. (Full interior)

Maybe it is, or maybe it was built on a Wed. or somthing. I don't know. I was just wondering if maybe I missed seeing something on it.

If he was stock, then sure. More or less they say 100lbs ~ to .1 in the q/t, plus you do have some fatty rims and tires, so If you lost all your speaker stuff and ran on stock 17*8's with drag radials you could probably see those times too.

Yeah, i know my weight was hurting me. I have ran lower numbers than that without the drag radials on. i just did not have time to take everything out. What i was wondering in general was has any body heard of a basicly stock gt running these kind of numbers. I thought they were pretty low for just the tb and mufflers. Not cat back just muff. Sorry if I was not clear on my question before.

ive heared of people running 13.8 bone stock with no weight reduction.

as far as i know that is about the best you can get on a stock stang and probably a nearly dry gas tank.

Was he an auto or 5 speed? I think it sounds very possible.
