Default first time racing (stock 06 GT)

Well, I finally got my mustang and I headed to the tracks to see what all the hype was about. All I can say is........ AWESOME I found myself a new hobby.

Here are my numbers in a stock '06 GT, I dropped in at about 2 grand and spun the tires slightly. Go easy on me... my very first time racing.

R/T: .251
60': 2.120
330': 5.862
1/8: 8.975 @ 78.76 mph
1000': 11.654
1/4: 13.905 @ 100.09 mph

I dialed in at 14.1 thinking I wouldn't do so well so I got DQ'd.
Anyone have any suggestions for my first mods? Intake and exhaust are currently at the top of my list but I haven't shopped around yet.

a cai and a tune are the best first mods ever for a 05+ GT it really makes the car faster and drive better.

check out justin at www.vmptuning.com he has a nice tuner/cai package deal.

yea, ive been looking at alot of different CAI. a friend of mine told me I should make sure it actually is cold air and not just claiming to be. should I really be worried about false advertising like that?

p.s. ive been looking at the steeda cai/tuner deal at americanmuscle.com

if it doesnt require a new tune for it then its a worthless cai for your car. Only the ones that actully flow alot more air need tunes becuase the 05+ cars are very sensitive to mods.
