should my car be able to beat my buddys evo with minor mods yet to race just a -lot of smack talking

What year and what mods are done to the Evo? If it's a pre 06 than you have a pretty good shot with it, unless he's upped the boost or turbo upgrade. Most with stock turbo but full exhaust/o2housing/manifold/intake and SafcII are pulling low 12's...but being an AWD car if your affriad to launch it....the other person has got a huge advantage due to the car bogging down soo bad.

You should rape him id say. Those cars are SLOW until you get some decent amount of mods on it. The one I raced was stock and I had him by 2 cars at 100mph....

 

older ones sure. but if you arent spraying or have boost, you dont really have much of a chance if they are modded.

 

I've beat older Evo's modded but usually from a roll. I don't think I could hook hard enough to catch an AWD from a stop. Fun cars to race though... ...lol
