when to launch a z28
#2
6000 rpm on slicks sounds sufficient.
no one can tell you where to launch at. its different depending on whats done to the car, track conditions, type of tires, suspention setup, weather conditions, ect.
thats like asking what someones car is going to do in the 1/4. its a pretty stupid and plain question that simply cant be given a proper response.

he wasnt doin that but he was holdin the brake down with a lil gas before launchin. just tryin to help him out because a 14.4 for a 95 z28 is kinda bad lol. btw he has 20 inch rims and subs in the trunk plus its a vert so his times wont b as good as they could b.

14.4 is a little high even for a stock auto/vert. the box and 20s arent helping much either. There are alot of factors that also play roles, track prep weather etc. What mods are done to the car? If he has exhaust, headers, etc. Then tell him to Jump on some 3.73's or 3200 stall or both if he has the money.
