Default Need Help!!!!

Went to the track today. On the way home I see smoke coming from the rear of my car...I pull over and I see transmission fluid leaking all over the place. I get my car home and take a look and it is leaking from the rear of the transmission where the driveshaft goes into it. Is there a bearing there?? I need some help on this one. Thanks

Bragg

There should be a seal there, your trans might have gotten hot and was just boiling the fluid out.

It did more then boil out. It was about 2 qts that came out. This sucks. I gotta take it to my tuner now and see what the hell is going on. I hope it is just the seal and doesn't cost me and arm and a leg.

Alrighty same thing happened to me. Do you have your line pressure turned up by any chance? Either way do not drive your car like that it's bad for the tranny hopefully it's just the seal that goes back there that's what I first thought it was unfortunatly I needed a whole new tranny.

Theres a seal. You are gonna have to open up your rear end, pull axles, remove your tlock and gears, and remove driveshaft.

It is the seal near the front of the tranny...Where the driveshaft first goes in. The seal is comletely out. I have to take it in Thursday.
