Default New Track Times

Went to the track last night didn't do to bad was hoping for better. I'm also running 18's except for those D/Rs where 17's.

1st Run R/T .326
2.265 60ft Spinning
1/8 mile 9.208 @ 80.13 mph
1/4 mile 14.080 @ 101.21 mph

2nd Run R/T .647
2.211 60ft missed 2nd
1/8 mile 9.572 @78.21 mph
1/4 mile 14.514 @ 100.37 mph

3rd Run R/T .273
2.274 60ft Spinning
1/8 mile 9.313 @ 79.40 mph
1/4 mile 14.215 @ 100.77 mph

On Mickey Thompson Drag Radials

2.291 60ft Still Spinning
1/8 mile 9.214 @ 79.95 mph
1/4 mile 14.106 @ 101.74 mph

2nd Run R/T .098
2.054 60ft Stuck hard
1/8 mile 8.970 @ 79.95 mph
1/4 mile 13.857 @ 100.89 mph

3rd Run R/T .468
2.009 60ft Stuck hard
1/8 mile 8.935 @ 79.73 mph
1/4 mile 13.829 @ 100.52 mph

These are my mods
C&L Inlet Pipe
BBK 75mm TB
C&L Plenum
UPR UDPs
Tri-ax
UPR 0/R x-pipe
Flowmaster mufflers stock catback pipes
3.73s
Diablo Programmer

Only reason why i'm happy cause that is my best time yet. I still need practice with those D/Rs cause they scared the **** out of me when they grabbed like that. I'm used to small wheel spin then going. These D/Rs F'n rock and with a little more work maybe i'll get mid 13's. My best run was my last run so my car was definitely hot and if you look at my MPH you will notice that.

nice times, but there is alot more in it like you said. just work on it and you will be amazed at what some seat time can do. With a 1.8 60' you should be able to cut some 13.5-13.6's out of it.

Whats the elevation at your track also?

I'm in SC so it is only 131 ft. at the track i checked. So the elevation really doesn't matter much to me but it was hot and humid.

Im not trying to be an *** but those times seem little slow... maybe more practice liek you said... are you power shifting? - if not try that. You have a good reaction in a 1.8 ... but I dunno just seems slow with a gear... and your elevation - but your improving!

I'm with Frenzy...With your Mods and being a Manual with all your mods you should be running low 13's. I have an auto an I run a 13.8 @ 99.60mph. I only have a few simple mods:

Fenderwell intake
4:10 Ford Racing Gears
SCT Xcal Tune (MT Tune)
Flow 40s Catback.

I run on Goodyear ZR45s (Stock) and I've been cutting 2.0 to 2.1 60ft times. I am in NC so the elevation is about 187 above also.

Yeah i've been working on it. i also think the 18's are killing me though. My mph is good and it's not my shifting i'm no granny. I'm going to try and find an 1/8 mile track though and practice my 60ft. I only run my car about once a year so i forget what i launch at and stuff. I never street race either. If i do i don't try and launch it hard i'm normally just messing with friends.

That's the one. It wasn't too bad last night. I guess last time my friends went they said it was horrible they couldn't get any traction at all.

I went a couple weeks ago, and this 68 camaro came off of all fours and was starting to go side ways on the wheely bar, he caught some mad traction and seemed like he had his nitrous stages set to close. There was also this riced out Transam with a bad driver, I could'nt quit staring at it so I took a pic. (some people amaze me)
