Can I beat an automatic '93 Z28? Some punk wants to line up and race cuz he says his car can beat anything. He says its a stock 5.7 liter other than a flowmaster catback he's got. I know nothing when it comes to Cameros... don't they have like 305HP?

93-95 LT1 275hp
96-97 LT1 bumped to 285hp
98 LS1 (z28)305hp
99-02 LS1 bumped to 310hp (z28)
SS and WS6 LS1 325-345hp
not sure how much LT1 cars weigh
but LS1 are suprisingly light
fiberglass doors, plastic front fenders, aluminum motor and driveshaft.
I know Lt1's have the same body as LS1 but lt1's have an aluminum hood but cast iron block
stock LT1's run 14.1 at 101mph and 0-60 in 5.4 (auto)

Just get out there and do it! I've run plenty of cars that I didn't know if I could take, won some lost some, that's the thrill. What fun would it be running someone you know you can take? Let'em hang or go beat on rice grinders and little old ladies in walkers.

it might have ran a 14 flat back in 93...but 13 years later, unless the engine has been upgraded, there's no way he'd hit 14. as engines get older, they get crappier, unless they're well-taken care of...which doesn't include roughly 99.999% of old school camaros
