Yea just get that 60ft down and your times will drop alot.

Heres what I ran w/bolt ons and a nicer 60ft.......

R/T ... .022
60' ... 2.063
330 ... 5.822
1/8 ... 8.973
MPH... 79.26
1000.. 11.684
1/4 ... 13.884
MPH... 100.26

You should have similar result with a 2.0 60ft. This run was on Douglas crap tires. They have a 350 wear rating and I ran them with 30psi of pressure.

hes not trapping 100mph he wont go that fast. He really needs a used mid pipe to get rid of thsoe freaking cats, they hold back a ton of power.

If you want to cut a nice R/T...launch the car as soon as you see the last yellow light on the tree. Your car doesnt make enough torque to redlight if you do that. It surprises alot of guys who dont know what theyre doing and they think you left before you were supposed to lol!

Yea those cats are choking that motor......it cant breath. I still dont see why they put all that restriction on it.....But you know its funny because the stock LS1 pipes from an SS camaro look just as restricting. They use cast headers into a Y-pipe w/ cats that is bolted onto a single pipe heading to the back. From there it goes into a huge muffler with dual outlets. From there it comes out the back. Its much different from our exhausts.

WHen i was big into my camaro it was a no-no to remove the cats. Supposedly you lost a ton of low end by doing so. Camaro exhaust are set up retarded, thats why they don't sound as good as a mustangs.

how can you say it sucks?? He's on regular street tires and completely stock with an auto. I say good job, you just need to open up the exhaust and you could get low 14's

I would say a 2.5 would be crappy and a 2.2 is sort of, well....crappy too.

I think that a 2.0 should be your goal on street tires and an otherwise stock car.

What concerns me is your trap. 95 mph is really kind of low x pipe or no x pipe. This is a sign of how much power you are making. IMO, I would definately get an x-pipe and then work on your launch. Don't worry about your R/T just yet.

Also, get a dam tuner. That may be some of your problem too. It will help the car shift better and get you a few more ponies.

Seriously, that is right where you should be with a stock auto.

Some people around here forget what the first time was like.

It takes some ***** to take the car down the track if you have never done it before.

yea lol, i was like "WTF AM I DOING" and my R/T aint good cause yea i went at green, not a drag pro yet guys lol...

atleast i didnt burnout in the burnout box like all the FWD imports did...atleast i rolled up and burned alittle...

i just wanted to get an idea of my car stock, so when i do mod, i can see the difference in time in all the areas... and my friends wanted to go so im like "well ill run a few.."

that was really my main point earlier. I dunno why some ppl were giving him crap. He's never done it before, he got a 2.2, thats awesome. I got 2.4 or worse my first few times running.

Congrat's on your first trip down the track in your auto. Your time and trap speed look about right for a stock auto. Work on your 60' ( I used to run my street tires at 18-20 in the rear)

Cat's cost you 5 hp per side (10 total)
A good X pipe and catback will liven things up a bit. Gears (4.10's) will also make a big difference. So will some sticky tires.

I wish that I had run at the track before I got mods because I would have like to know what they were doing but my first run will be with a few mods. Oh well, I am hoping for a 13.8 or lower in June!!

Good Job Monkey, you'll get better!!
