Picture of my launch
What do you guys think about my launch? This was a 1.8 60' and 12.76 107.6 1/4. My suspension set up was eibach pro kit, MM adjustable lca's, and no sway bars or quad shocks. I do not have any traction problems at all. As far as gears and power Im running 4.10's and 262rwhp 281rwtq. This is also an auto with a 3500 stall launching at idle in drive.

Yeah, I think the car had more in it the way it was set up then. Next time I hit the track Im hoping for 1.7's 60' and 12.5's or better 1/4 NA. 1.5's 60' and 11.7 or better on the nitrous. I dont think my car has a very good tune right now (including the messed up 2-3 shift) which is why its getting retuned by Ed in May. Im also goin to try a couple different launching techniques.

Haha, thanks Dean. I appreciate it.
On a serious note. How much do you guys think tire PSI can affect 60'/ 1/4 times? I had the PSI in my ET streets at 15, but I wasnt having any traction problems. I probably could of put it up to 25-30. Also, I think my pinion angle is off. I know, excuses excuses. Ill hit that 1.7 60' for sure next time out.

I like to run as much pressure as I can without excessive wheel spin. My car is faster with a little spin than when it dead hooks and bogs a bit. I assume the little bit of extra time it takes to rev up to where it makes power is worse than a little loss of traction. I run my slicks at 13 and my Nitto's at 18.

get those adjustable uca's and set them to -3 or -4 that should fix the pinion angle on launch. wait till you launch with nitrous you will be doing little wheelies. once you get a trans brake and manual valve body the you will have no problem doing wheelies. look at this im getting myself started.
