Burnout or waterbox?

Default Burnout or waterbox?

Hey guys i was wondering when i am at the drag strip if they have a water box should i use that or should i not if i have an 02 Gt 5-speed with nitto 555's not DR's but 555's?

stay out of the water,drive around it and do a couple of dry burnouts to warm tires and remove debris from tread. street tires will sometimes hold water in the tread or water that drips off the inner fender area back onto the tire causing more possibility of losing traction.

Go around the water box. then spin the tires for a few secs i dont even mean doing a burnout just rev it up and spin them a few feet and that it street tires do nto need ot be heated and it does nothing for them. i ran many 2.0x 60' doing this.

I agree,you don't want to sit there and smoke your street tires,just a couple of quick steps on the gas is what I do to clean the rubber and I usually hook up just fine.

go aorund the water back up into the water, only back tires need to be wet. spin them then roll foward and do a burnout in first gear till you see some count to 3-5 sec and stage works well for me. 1.8 60' with stock suspenion.
