so, I'm going to have to add in that ever since I installed this my car keeps throwing a code. P1233.. it means the fuel pump is disabled. Well obviously its not because I can still drive the car. We thought it was because we were stealing a ground for the light from the pump or something, so we moved the ground. All was well for a few days and then it threw the code again, so I dunno.

Well I messed with it today and it's hooked up exactly like it's suppose to be. So I unplugged it all and guess what? I turned the car on and scanned for DTC's and there was NOTHING. So I think maybe I just got a bad shiftlight. The code is gone and it's unplugged. I'm like 4 days away from the return policy so I'm gonna shoot them an email and see if I can't get a new one.

Regarding your SES, that is the exact same cosde you get when you pull the fuel pump fuse. You must grounding that fuse somehow.

The one thing about electricity, it always does what it is supposed to do. You just have to be smarter than it. No insult intended, I have been down this road many times before.
Crap, I would think a new ground would have solved the problem. It must be a computer glitch that the shift light is somehow causing.

My old mustang has some electrical issues, the previous owners had some issues I guess. Sometimes when I locked the doors it would honk or the lights would come on lol

There is a ground strap on the computer box. It connects toa green nut just below the computer. The wire gets easily broken and left un-noticed when pulling the computer. Ken at Modular Depot once told me that he has seen cars do wired things with that ground strap broken.
Mine was broken and I had to fix it.
