Default mach ram air kit

i have a 02 mustang V6 and i was wondering if the mach ram air kit would fit if i cut out where the stupid rubber insert is. and if u could estimate about how much HP it would boost this slow thing i would much appreciate it.

thanks

Its designed for the GT because the GT has an opening that it can fit into. As far as HP boost, you are going to get around the same amount of boost as a CAI. 5-10HP, more with a tune. It looks like you would have to have that rubber insert removed.

Its better to just go with a CAI and not the Ram Air Kit. The CAI might not even work with the V6 Engine due to the placement of the engine, parts, and so forth.

Stick with a CAI, its safer and cheaper, and will give you the same amount of horsepower boost.

karkraft.com is cheaper, dont get the CDC the shaker is known for flying off when on the interstate and just driving around. Why do you think they just sell the top piece alone as well????? If you have any questions just ask, i did the ram air on my GT

thanks for the feed back. i just purchased the CAI for my stang on here of course and hopefully it will give it a couple of more horses cuz god only knows it definitly needs some helping beside the k&N filter and V-force dual exhaust. its unbelievable how slow the V6 mustangs are, they put the stang family to shame if nothing is modified.hate to admit it. anyways thanks.....

I have the CDC kit. How in the hell does that fly off? My shaker is NOT GOING ANYWHERE...... To hell if I paid full price for it though. It was either get a different hood or do this for roughly 250. I got it new from someone who stored it and forgot about it.
