Hi, just got in my set of BBK Headers I ordered from you guys..I was told they SHOULD have a CARB stamp..however..when I got my headers in..no carb stamp..

Any help with this? Thanks.

 

Welp, just got off the phone with BBK. They just got approved, they don't have CARB stamps yet, and won't for another 6 months.

So..someone at American Muscles customer service basically just fucked me over for mis-information after he went to "go check" to make sure they came with a god damn STAMP.

 

Well I got that handled. Nick was in a meeting so I spoke to someone else..

But this guy in the emails is still bullshitting saying they are stamped.. i received a confirmation email from bbk that these things aren't stamped... lol...

 

at a meeting today? ah that explains why i haven't heard anything about the ballast box for my hid's. Guess I should just call them

 

I don't have your order information to look up who you talked to, but the customer service reps would only have the information given to us from the manufacturer. So if they told you they checked to see if they were CARB approved, they got that information from our channels at BBK.

Those headers are not quite legal. They will be by mid '09. All the forms are filed for our application for an EO # for those and the rest of our headers, now I'm just waiting on CARB to tell me what they want tested to get that number. I am keeping your e-mail adderss on hand and when I get them legal, I will e-mail you the EO# so you won't have any trouble with smog tests. CARB will also list it on their website so any smog tech can check on it when needed.

I called americanmuscle that day because I was unable to check my emails because I was at work. I was put on hold so someone could check, and told "yea they've got a number" so I went ahead and purchased them.

I'm not really pissed about it now. I've got CARB stamped headers coming now and I will be able to return the BBKs to you guys and receive the money for the headers back on the card. However I'm going to end up biting the bullet on the shipping.

I don't know how many people in CA order from you guys checking to make sure they've got CARB numbers.. but I'd see about straightening out the whole "50 state legal" and "CARB Legal" as it ends up being very different.. I know in my county and in LA county, no carb number, no pass. Doesn't mean they won't pass a sniff test however.

Thanks for trying though. Unfortunately, I ended up purchasing my correct headers locally, but at a little steeper of a price..

 

Unfortunately the information we had from BBK led us to believe they were already CARB certified. If BBK can't get their story straight and is telling different people different things when they contact them, thats not something we can control. We try to provide the most current and accurate information possible, but if a manufacturer gives us the wrong information on their product, unfortunately that is the information we have to go on.

If you have not already contacted us to return the headers, we will definitely take them back for a full refund. If you have not already shipped them back, shoot me a PM with your full name and/or order number, and I can have a return tag sent to take care of the shipping. We know it is not your fault, but you must also realize that it is not ours either.
