Default 3 position nitrous switch

i just ordered this part and was wondering if i needed to buy longer lines for the install or will it connect to the purge and the bottle warmer lines that come with those parts that i ordered from NX as well as the armed switch. or do i need to buy braided steel lines or what have ya so this part connects? thanks

There are wires that come with the switch, but as to how long they are and if your going to need extra wires I do not know.

Our shipper has it installed into his car, ill see what I can dig up as to if there were extra wires needed for his system. He also has an NX system.

You will need wire. The switch comes only with pig-tails. Make sure you have the proper gauge. You do not need any braided nitrous lines, as the nitrous does not run to the switch. You may also need a relay depending on your setup.

Nothing against a beginner, but you are starting to scare me a bit - LOL

When you get the switch, take it to the store and show the clerk. He will match you up with the same sized wire. Be sure to buy plenty of wire connectors and have the clerk show you how to use them. The wire generally comes in small spools that will be enough to do 10 cars. It is pretty cheap.

If you are a real novice, you may want to get a knowledgable friend to help. Installing these swicthes are not hard, but it is all relative to your experience and skill.

What type of nitrous system do you have? You will also probably need some relays to do the job right, which adds to the complication factor.

If you can give me more info, I am sure I can help you more. If you have the Venom-1000 that you are trying to hook-up I can be of great help to you.

well i have the NX kit and i saw this and thought it would be easier than just have the switches laying around. the only thing is i thought it came with all the wires thats why i wasn't sure as to which ones to get. i have a NX bottle warmer and purge and i have the EFI NX kit. what do you recommend i do?

im not installing it. im having the local (1 hour away) mustang shop do it with the whole nx install. the only thing is i don't want to make an appointment and then go there and not have the right wires for the switches cuz i don't feel like doing it myself.

This is a great switch and will work GREAT with the NX setup. Any decent shop should have wire. This would be like them not having a screw driver. They should be able to hook this up in their sleep.
