If you have a hard time getting the old one off (I did) try jacking the car up and taping it from under the car with a block of wood and a hand sledge. I spent like an hour trying to get the old one off before I did this. It took one light tap with the wood block and hand sledge and it was loose. Good luck with the install, let us know how it goes.

Ok man thanks for the tip. Ive heard this is the hardest part of the whole install. Others suggested just grabbing it and yanking like no tommorrow. If I do this, should I leave the **** on or take it off?

Doubt you'll have any problems. Be very careful to set the stop bolts tightly. The install is a breeze.

When youre ready to take the stocker off, put the handle back on and rock it back and forth. Mine came off easy as pie.
