Question mustang exhaust

i just bought a new Magnaflow exhaust system. I need a new H-pipe. Does this site carry anything that will mount up to that. I also have stock headers, If so, which ones and what is the price.

Default My car

My car is a 1998 Mustang GT 4.6L 5 speed. I have a cold air intake and a Magnaflow Cat back performance exhaust. Other then those, the car is completely stock. I was just wondering what H-pipe would be the best and any other mods that would be best for my car. I just bought it about a month ago and am not sure on all the mods i can do. My friends dont know much about mustangs but have given me a few ideas. Also, which is better for the mustang for more power...the h-pipe or the x-pipe.

Thanks for all the help.

depends on how loud you want your car, where you want the extra hp(high or low rpm's) and also if emissions means anything to you. for my case an off-road H-pipe was best. loud, low-mid rpm hp gains, and rebel emission standards.

if you dont have to pass emmisions go with an off road version ( no cats). An x-pipe will generally Produce more tourqe and horse power untill you get into the upper rpms ie 5500rpm and higher thats when the h-pipe is better that has a rev limiter at 6150rpm i would go with the xpipe the slp x-pipe is made of stainless steel so it will last forever and i would belive that the mustang tuning x-pipe is made from aluminized steel

Quiet mustang???? Ugh. Anyways. I have the MustangTuning Off road x-pipe and slp loudmouth. And lemme tell ya, It's loud as a bitch. The sound with just the x-pipe was nice, but not how I wanted it. So it you're looking for a nice, not-over-dramatic sound, go just x or H. It you add the 2(mid pipe and catbaack) It will be really loud in 90% of the cases. Most people just dont want quiet gt's. Its all about being loud.

I have the mustang tuning x pipe $162.99 shipped if i remember. Mines a 97 so yours is the same model. Ive had off road exhausts on all my mustangs in the last 20 years. The MT one fit the best of all brands ive tried. You cannot see it under the car it hugs the body. All 4 O2 Bungs are at the factory spots, and nice thick flanges. No gaskets needed and no leaks or ticks at all.

It will make your car louder. mine really woke up the sound of the magnaflow cat backs i have. And according to my Gtech Performance Geforce meter, i picked up 12hp after putting on the x pipe.

Does MT sell an h-pipe? I've been waiting for one to come on here for a while now, but I think I'm going to have to get one off of another site.

thanks for all the info and advice people. It really helps out. And in reply to your comments dannyb785, my friend has a really loud mustang and it sounds like crap. Maybe your sounds better i do not know. I have just grown to not like his cars sound. So i dont want mine to be real loud, but still have the mustang power sound.
