will the pony caps for the wheels fit in the fr500 17" rims? cause i says something about the 18's

Negative. That centercap is a custom size.

I thought they were interchangable. The one's I got on my bullitts were.

Only caps that I know of that fit the 17" are the 95 Cobra R caps.

4 cobra r caps cost as much as 1 wheel...

I actually have the 18 FR500s let me know if your still intrested though.

So since I have 18's I can buy any center cap and it works?

Not any center cap but there is a large selection on Ford Racing that will fit. Ex. SVT, Cobra R, 99 Cobra snake cap. There a couple more i think.

Sorry. I dont believe they will fit as i have been told 17's have a smaller cap.
