I recently came up with $6,000 and I can't seem to choose on which 89-93 5.0 body style I should buy: LX, GT or coupe. I really like all of them!!! I am leaning more towards the coupe though because of the cool fact that they used to be chp's and are lighter than the rest? What do you guy's think? Anything woulld help. Thanks.

 

Well 95stangEATER if you are truly serious about this and you your not going to star to bash people because you have a civic. I love the LX to be its a beautiful looking car. it was a cool that the coupe was a CHP but it might be a but pricey you might need a bit more than 6K. it all depends on what you want to do. if you just want to have the car and not do work go with the coupe or if you want to do work to it go with the LX.

Hey man, I have a 90' mustang gt conv. I love all the styles of 5.0, but in my opinion the convertible gt 5.0 is really worth it. I've been all in and out of the others and the conv is my favorite. Though I say you should look at them and stuff before you really decide cause everyones opinions on the 5.0s are different, but hey as long as ur getting a 5.0 you cant go wrong.

 

the coupe is the coolest looking, in my opinion. be sure that the coupe you are looking at is truly a SSP Police car....not all coupe were police cars, and some guys will charge extra a CHP interceprtor.

I have had many fox body styles over the years. My personal favorites are the GT and the coupe. I would buy a coupe if I were you.

 

i have two of the lx hatches, a 93 and a 88, the best reason i can give to get the hatch is because it is a lot easier to find parts for. the gt will cost a crapload in insurance costs, and i enjoy the extra room in the hatches. good luck to ya
