Exclamation gas gauge

does anyone know if there is a repair kit, or a way to repair a faulty gas gauge on a 88 mustang. i know it's a common problem, and well i have 5 5.0's and none of them have a working gas gauge. so let me know what you know...aight...thanks...

depends on if its the gauge, the sender, or the wiring between.

to fix mine i had to put a new fuel level sender in the gas tank.

$65 from laurel mountain mustang

Default gas gauge

well i think that the gauge works, cause it goes up and down, and well i put two gallons of gas in it yesterday, and it read full. then i turned it on a lil bit later, and it said half tank. so i guess it's not the wiring, or the actual gauge......
i looked on laurel mountain, and didn't see the sender you talked bout. what exactly is it. someone told me i have to replace the whole sending unit!

i think i just called them.

the sending unit doesnt involve the fuel pump. its just tells the gauge how much fuel is in the tank. its completely separate from the fuel pump.
