Default I Need your Help,PLEASE......

Okay I have a freind do a V8 swap on his LX,He has everything already and he is going to do the swap on Monday. Will he need to get a 8.8 rear end or will the 7.5 be able to support the V8 302 5.0?

it will physically bolt in place and be functional to move the car around on.

but think of it as a bandaid while you look for a rear end.

ford wouldnt of spend the extra money if they didnt have to.

depends, how much power hes pushing and how hard he pops it. i personally woiuld not even redline the car to be honest with you. what clem said about it being a bandaid... that is completely true, you dont want to drive on that for long...

if it spins the tires... prolly not. if it catches traction, prolly.

ford put an 8.8 in the car for a reason. because they HAD TOO. it will work till it breaks... which wont be long.

assuming the stock driveshaft works.

which no one no, because they know better then to try.

how ever some cheapass on corral/stangnet prolly has.

Thanks for letting us know that we are liars.. We appreciate it, now please don't ask us any more questions because I for one will not be giving you anymore answers.

Anyone who says a 7.5" rear end is adequate, efficient, or reliable for handling the power of a V8 is a moron, let us know when it breaks.

You're the one that asked the question, we gave you an answer, you didn't like it then called us liars. I believe that you're the person who needs to, as you put it, "**** offf."

I honestly don't care what your friend does, but if he plans to race, do burnouts, pop the clutch, or drive hard in general tell him to get AAA because it will break and he will need a tow.
