Default 94-95 5l Quick Question

I'm helping a frined out over the phone and I can't remember what this is for. There's a threaded 3/4" hole to the left of the distributor on the lower intake. He's not terribly helpful with his description of what it looks like in the hole. I think I remember a nipple being screwed in and a line running somewhere. Any ideas what it is? I can't remember if it's a water line or a vacuum line and where it goes?

I thought the temp sensor was to the right of the distributor and then there was a large 90 degree elbow screwed into the hole to the left. I want to say it's a water line (on the fox bodies, it went to the egr spacer) but I'm not sure what it was for in the 94-95 models. I recall a sensor screwing into the elbow on the 94-95.. If that's the temp sensor, then what's in the hole to the right of the dist?

oh, i forgot about that. it is a coolant line. part of it screws into it, then the black tubing goes toward the back of the motor, i believe then the heater hoses attaches to that end. it's been a few years, but that jogged my memory.
