Default 1994 5.0 air intakes

I just bought my first Mustang...a 94 5.0 convertible. Does anybody have an air intake system they recommend? I would like to improve my mileage and HP.

i have a bbk cai, but u can touch the tube after some driving and see how hot it is. so its prolly not letting alot of cold air in cuz of the chrome metal piping. u can make ur own outta some plastic piping or just drop in a k&n filter.

Thanks...will the reuseable K & N filter drop into the air box without modification?

the Moroso setup is cheap and effective.

I have a 94 5.0 vert and got more gains from keeping the stock air box but removing the silencer then I did with my chrome piping, the piping just heats up way too much. It's more for looks.

The moroso or tunableinduction.com sells some good ones, there not metal and don't get hot. The drop-in K&N and removing the air silencer will be the cheapest route for a few ponies.
