the trans from factory dosent have manual trans fuild in it. it comes with gear oil in the trans and the differential. i was wondering if i should change to the man trans fuild in place of the gear oil in the tranny not the rear end.

I think the t-5's came with auto trans fluid in them, not gea oil? Could be wrong?

T5 trannys use ATF Mercon fluid, not gear lube....if you fill it up with gear lube, you'll cause damage to the synchro rings, they are coated with the same friction material auto tranny clutch rings are made off, reason why ATF is specified. My 2¢.
