whats the biggest wheels i can get???
I Have A 1992 Mustang Gt....and I Wanted To Get Some New Wheels For It, I Am Still Uncertain As To Whether Or Not I Am Going To Go With The 5 Lug Conversion. But, I Wanted To Know What The Biggest Size I Can Go Is? I Have Heard That I Can Go 17x9, But Yet I Heard That That Will Rub... I Have Also Heard That 17x8 Will Work Fine, But There Is Not Very Big Selection In Thoses Wheels. Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated... Thanks

my buddy has 18x9s 245/45 all around on his 85gt and its fine and real freaking low. he has 5 lug. like swervo said, i too have seen an 18x10 of a fox with some modification. do the swap cuz theres just way more options for wheels then.

looking for new wheel options like the FR500 wheel
i have a 87 lx coupe that i did a 5 lug conversion using oe parts (front spindles are stock using the original style wheel bearings)
i really like the FR500 wheel but they do not fit over the front hub and the dust cap for the bearings push out the center cap even knowing they will not go past the hub. the offset is +24mm plus they where awfully close to the strut without fitting on. a spacer would make the 17x9 wheel stick to far out of the fender. any suggestions??
anybody know of a true fitting 17" wheel that wil fit the front hubs?
any other options or ideals welcome.
thanks

I had 17x9 Cobra R Polished Aluminum all the way around on my 89 LX. I had the 4 lug and it looked fine, but there is less selection for 4 lug. I had 275/40/R17 on the rear and 245/45/R17 in the front. The rear only rubbed then inner fender if you were going over a very large bump. The front would rub only on the extreme left or right. You can get spacers but I didn't see the need for them. The rear tires looked great especially with the shined up dual exhaust and flowmasters hanging underneith.
