Default What are the biggest street car engines in history?

I know how the new viper had the 8.3. The older one had the 8.0. And the popular 427 in the vette, boss, and others translates to just over 7 liters. I also read the other thread about the special edition camaros with 8.8 liters. What other big engines are there? Even though ferraris and lambos have 12 cylinders, theyre usually no bigger than 6 liters. What else is there thats over 6 liters? And please dont give a web site with all of them. just go from memory.

Not sure about the exotics. Domestic is my forte.

They don't come in any cars, but you can buy a 528 hemi from Chrysler, and ford also sells a 514.

Viper V10 is pretty high isnt it?

Edit: My bad, just noticed you had that already. I know its not a street car, but that boss mustang that was specially created to beat that camaro was like 10.0 liters.

I know Chevy makes a 572ci crate motor. Cadolac put 540ci in their Eldarodo in the late 70s. As far as the biggest engine ever...Ireally don't know.

You could go back in time to

1902 Napier 6.435 litre

1906 Locomobile 17.657 litre

1908 Mercedes Benz 12.781 litre

All these were road going cars of there time.
