I saw this already. The two kids were charged with a felony and the bus driver was charged with a misdemeanor. The bus driver was a substitute driver, and he was trying to get the kid in front to put his seat belt on.

Kids don't respect authority anymore. I say if the kid mouths off and calls him a "Mother****3r" and doesn't do what he was told, he should be slapped upside the head. Lesson learned.

ya know, when i was a kid adults werent allowed to beat us up, but they never told us kids, so there was always that fear of gettin smacked.
Now-a-days kids all know that the adults cannot do anything to them, so the concept of reprimand is not heavily installed as they have nothing to fear pain wise. personally, i dont think there is anything wrong with smacking a kid upside the head if he mouths off, as long as you dont go much further. if you break it down, pain is a learning mechanism. You mess with fire and get burned and it hurts and yer dumbass remembers it. Well, if that bus driver was allowed to legally smack that kid, i bet that situation wouldnt have happened in the first place cause that kid would have probably gotten punked for a similar stunt in the past and would have learned to behave, and all would have been right in the universe. Does the occasional smack result in behaviorial problems later in life? I dont buy that. My parents were raised in the time that if you mouthed off you got switched. That entire generation seems pretty stable and level headed to me. personally, i think we are doing the children an injustice by not smacking them when they get out of line, because it takes them a lot longer to understand the concept of cause and effect and how to behave. ok you damn hippies, take yer best patchulie smokin shot! all this political correct crap really grates my nerves sometimes. Hell, did you hear about the advocacy group that is attacking burger king because thier kids meals come loaded with star wars stuff? They say it is unappropriate cause the movie is rated PG-13. Give me a break. Somone give these people something important to do. I cant believe somone actually gets paid for that crap. Hi! I'm J.R. Douchebag, and I spend my time fighting stupid battles, wasting tax payer money, and imposing my point of view on people to protect the land of the free as long as you share my same belief. go crawl under a rock and die. |

unfortunly the reason kids now a days are like that was because back in the old days adults where very abusive so now that those kids have grown up and become parents they teach thier kids not to take any Sh#% from any body..
that and thier is to many lawyers....

if that were the case then this wouldnt be anything new. People have been beating the crap out of thier kids since the stone age. personally i believe it is cause parents are not allowed to dicipline thier children the way they should. I dont think they should kick thier ass, definatly smother the children with love, but at the same time they need that dicipline |

i just thing socioty got too wrapped up in this politically correct stuff and lost sight of the different learning abilitys humans have as well as the need to instill dicipline. Now if you smack yer kid yer an ABUSER. Then you see these kids on TV on those daytime shows running amok, breakin stuff, screaming at thier pareents, and one thing they all have in common is thier parents fail to instill diciple. they threaten to take away thier xbox but never follow through. they threaten to ground them but never follow through. beating a kid senceless is never a good idea. Nor is burning, whipping, or any of that. But a wmack upside the head or a good spanking when they deserve it important to a healthy upbringing. dont confuse my view that smacking a kid that is out of line means that i advocate abuse, which as the supreme court says about porn "you know it when you see it" |

problem lies with parenting skill and what is allowed. Sorry but nothing was handed to me i had to earn it all. And guess what, if i did something wrong, I got punished for it. and none of this well you can go ahead and go here or do this crap. No sir, sounds like this kid dont give respect to his own parents.

My 2 Cents:
I'm only 20 years old, I don't have children, but I know that the type of "disipline" you guys are talking about is not right. Smacking, spanking, hitting...nope...None of it. What that busdriver did was 120% wrong. I don't care what the reason for hitting the kid. He is the authority figure, he is the adult, he needs to act like it. If you were in that situation what would you learn? If I put myself in that spot, I take out of it as an adult I can hit kids cause I'm bigger, and cause I'm older. In psychology, it's what we call "negative reinforcement." It is by no means helpful. Using "positive reinforcement" would work out much better. True, it won't always happen that way, but you have to try. I'm not saying that when I grow up further and I have children that I will let them walk all over me... No, I will not let that happen. I have seen what happens when children are allowed to do whatever they want. But what people need to realize is that there are ways without using any kid of physicality to teach their children respect. As I have always thought and believed, "Respect is a two-way street. You got to give it to get it." Peace.

B) well...Let's just say this: The bus driver started out as an ass and didn't make things better. However, the child did what every child does at one point or another in their life...Was a punk-ass little ****. Plain and simple, if you're going to let someone's kid like that get to you, you gotta re-evaluate your life, and your self-control. Yeah...anyone who kicks a kids' ass over that needs help, the kid just needs to grow up a bit, and calm down. Peace. Out.
