In my opinion the bus driver shouldn't grab the kid up like that. he already radio'd the sheriff. he's deffanally in the wrong

I saw this already. The two kids were charged with a felony and the bus driver was charged with a misdemeanor. The bus driver was a substitute driver, and he was trying to get the kid in front to put his seat belt on.

Kids don't respect authority anymore. I say if the kid mouths off and calls him a "Mother****3r" and doesn't do what he was told, he should be slapped upside the head. Lesson learned.

unfortunly the reason kids now a days are like that was because back in the old days adults where very abusive so now that those kids have grown up and become parents they teach thier kids not to take any Sh#% from any body..
that and thier is to many lawyers....

personally, i dont think there is anything wrong with smacking a kid upside the head if he mouths off, as long as you dont go much further.

if you break it down, pain is a learning mechanism.
You mess with fire and get burned and it hurts and yer dumbass remembers it.
Well, if that bus driver was allowed to legally smack that kid, i bet that situation wouldnt have happened in the first place cause that kid would have probably gotten punked for a similar stunt in the past and would have learned to behave, and all would have been right in the universe.

Does the occasional smack result in behaviorial problems later in life? I dont buy that. My parents were raised in the time that if you mouthed off you got switched. That entire generation seems pretty stable and level headed to me.

personally, i think we are doing the children an injustice by not smacking them when they get out of line, because it takes them a lot longer to understand the concept of cause and effect and how to behave.

ok you damn hippies, take yer best patchulie smokin shot!

all this political correct crap really grates my nerves sometimes.

Hell, did you hear about the advocacy group that is attacking burger king because thier kids meals come loaded with star wars stuff? They say it is unappropriate cause the movie is rated PG-13. Give me a break. Somone give these people something important to do. I cant believe somone actually gets paid for that crap.

Hi! I'm J.R. Douchebag, and I spend my time fighting stupid battles, wasting tax payer money, and imposing my point of view on people to protect the land of the free as long as you share my same belief.

go crawl under a rock and die.
Well I know a ton of kids that where abused and smacked around they end up murdering their parents.... I believe in self preservation you attack me I have the right to defend my self...words are just words....

problem lies with parenting skill and what is allowed. Sorry but nothing was handed to me i had to earn it all. And guess what, if i did something wrong, I got punished for it. and none of this well you can go ahead and go here or do this crap. No sir, sounds like this kid dont give respect to his own parents.

true but think about it... I agree with parents smacking their kids from time to time...but I don’t agree with someone else smacking my kid....in that case the bus drive need to be held responsible for his action he should of waited to deputy got their and the kid could of gotten arrested. But know the adult took the law into his own hands because he is not equipped with the patience to deal with kids... I know this anyone lays a finger on I’m kids they will face the desert eagle...

My 2 Cents:
I'm only 20 years old, I don't have children, but I know that the type of "disipline" you guys are talking about is not right. Smacking, spanking, hitting...nope...None of it. What that busdriver did was 120% wrong. I don't care what the reason for hitting the kid. He is the authority figure, he is the adult, he needs to act like it. If you were in that situation what would you learn? If I put myself in that spot, I take out of it as an adult I can hit kids cause I'm bigger, and cause I'm older. In psychology, it's what we call "negative reinforcement." It is by no means helpful. Using "positive reinforcement" would work out much better. True, it won't always happen that way, but you have to try. I'm not saying that when I grow up further and I have children that I will let them walk all over me... No, I will not let that happen. I have seen what happens when children are allowed to do whatever they want. But what people need to realize is that there are ways without using any kid of physicality to teach their children respect. As I have always thought and believed, "Respect is a two-way street. You got to give it to get it."

Peace.

He called him a motha fuc**! That kid wanted to beat the crap outta of the bus driver??? No way! He needs to learn to respect the authority figure, and there was no way the bus driver was gonna sit down ,and talk to the kid about not cursing, blah blah. He needed to be smacked. Now the kid knows he can't go around running his mouth w/o pissing people off. I think the driver did well, by just grabbing him by the neck and not really hurting him too much.

Lol, did anyone notice that the motha fuc** guy said he would punch the driver's lights out? O man I would've loved to see him try.

Lesson: Don't f*** with the bus driver bit**es

:laughing4...Coming from a guy named "BeatTheBrat" And if I was in that situation, what would I learn?? I would learn not to f@ck with adults. And you said it yourself, You got to give it to get it. The kid didn't respect what the bus driver was trying to tell him, then the kid mouthed off to him calling him a MF'er and he got smacked. The kid didn't give respect, so he got what was coming to him. I guarantee that kid will think twice about mouthing off like that again.

I manage the network for Department of Families and children and let me tell you that their is a fine line between abuse and discipline... when an adult is angry they often more then not cross that line... do you know that a 10 year old girl got smacked across the head for disrespecting her father and now the kid is blind, due to a detached optical nerve. Kids do stupid things. That is why they are classified as kids... we as adults need to learn patience’s. Do you know what the number one thing you can do for your kid so he or she doesn’t end up like that kid? Give them your TIME. Bond with them instead of coming home and saying "I’m tired go and play" “go watch TV".... this will be my last post in this thread....as you can see its a touchy subject for me..

A) My name is a Ramones song...that has nothing to do with anything.
B) well...Let's just say this:
The bus driver started out as an *** and didn't make things better. However, the child did what every child does at one point or another in their life...Was a punk-*** little ****. Plain and simple, if you're going to let someone's kid like that get to you, you gotta re-evaluate your life, and your self-control. Yeah...anyone who kicks a kids' *** over that needs help, the kid just needs to grow up a bit, and calm down.

Peace. Out.
