eBay CAI review

The purpose of this post if to let you know of my recent experience with a CAI that I bought off of ebay because I have a few PM’s from people asking me to let them know how it worked out. I was a little sketchy at first buying a $24 CAI off of eBay brand new it just didn’t sound trustworthy but I had the money in my paypal account so I decided to give it a try. I considered buying the Steeda CAI for $200 but when you think about it a CAI is nothing but a tube with an air filter on it. The only complaints I have is that the shipping was $25 and the instructions did not fully explain what you needed to do but other than that I am pleased. The install went fairly flawlessly for the most part, the only complications I had with it were that two of the mounting bolts were a little too long which I cured by simply throwing a couple extra washers on there and the one coupler was the wrong size so I just trimmed it down with a razor blade and it all worked out. After the install was done and I took it around the block I could feel that it had more power and the intake had a nice purr to it. I am completely satisfied with my $24 CAI and hope that those of you that are looking for a cheap alternative to the more expensive ones found this useful in making your decision. Well i bought a cai from ebay and they sent me the rong one! I had on the order confermation that it was a 98 V6 mustang cai. I got it and it said for 99-04! I tried to get them to take it back but the guy said all sales are final! I was pissed so i think im gonna buy one from MT in the next couple days! But im sure the ones from ebay work great if they send u the right one!

save your money, take the 99-04 intake and get some pvc pipe, need two 90 degrees and one 45 degree and 3 ft of straight pipe. Make your own for under $10 and its better then any metal one on ebay.
