You also have a digital speedometer in your gage cluster where you can check trouble codes and what not too I'll find you a link:yup:;) |

Yeah big differences. The heads were different, the upper/lower intakes( 94-98 singleport, 99-04 splitport)
That why I will try to take your old engine off your hands if you do that 5.4 swap your engine + some rebuild work and an investment in some items from supersixmotorsports.com (stage 2 intake, heads and a cam) = a decently powered 6 |

What kind of gas mileage are you getting? Don't worry I know your not crazy making up auto cobras, lol:D I get 27mpg on the highway cruising in 5th at 85mph. In town I get like 17mpg, not great, but not enough to make me really care because of the "fun to drive" factor, lol. |
Man, I get 13mpg city and like 24 highway. And I'm never really rough on my car, I care about it so I keep it cool.

Is your mach auto?? if so that might explain the slightly lower highway mpg. |
5-speed, lots of lights, tons of construction all of the time. Lots of stop and go in the city.

I have exceeded 130 mph regularly in my 2008 V6. While I don't recommend that you drivers do this, the car handles very well, with no buffeting at that speed. I know that the engine can handle more speed, but with only a stock suspension, drivetrain and tires, I do not want to push it to more than that. The only negative effect during one drive was the loss of a tire pressure sensor, causing an imbalance in the tire, which brought me to a slow pace quickly.
The V6 engine is quite capable of speeds far exceeding your driving ability, even if driven on a closed course track. Know your limitations, and that of your vehicle. Drive safely. |

The V6 engine is quite capable of speeds far exceeding your driving ability, even if driven on a closed course track. Know your limitations, and that of your vehicle. Drive safely. 2 your tires aren't rated for 130mph. If i recall my v6 tires were rated for 115mph, obviously they can exceed there rating, but it becomes very dangerous to do so. 3 The 2005+ V6 mustangs are limited to somewhere around 115mph as well, so unless you have turned off the speed limiter it isn't possible for you to got that fast 4 Finally the v6 mustang, especially on stock tires and stock suspension, leaves the front end very very light and car isn't very stable at all. I will admit it, I had gone 115mph in my v6 and it wasn't honestly that comfortable, you could tell any kind of major variation in the pavement or maneuvering would not handle well, so saying it handled great at 130 is ridiculous. |
i've exceeded 237 mph, that's right, stock v6...237 mph, that's uphill too, up a mountain here in FL matter of fact. i was racing a 1983 Pinto station wagon. yea it had a 4 cyl but it put up a helluva fight!
don't speed on public skreets. do it at the track. |
ive only gone up to 117mph until my wife told me to stop, and no it wasnt in any public road with cars or truck it was out in the ranch, open road with no cars at all
while i was going this speed i didnt fell nothin shaking or anything like that, it just felt fine as if i were driving like 65mph :) |
I got to about 115mph before I backed off at the track. Took about another 100ft after the line at Bandimere though. I just didn't want to get off it was so smooth. Can't imagine what it'd do in Vegas or Cali.
|
lmao... i went 115 till i saw cars ahead of me... TURNPIKE is where i reached 115... and yes.... not only was i scared and almost shitting brinks... but it was a great feeling.... but i can't be doing that since i don't want to risk my life and also my pony lol
|
i pegged the GT... so what ever stock 00 GT speed is i was at it.
