gone past 120?
anybody seen a gauge cluster that goes past 120 and can be calibrated so it works. i figured if you had a handheld tuner you could use gt gauges but from a post i made in the americanmuscle section i found out you cant(or atleast it was unlikely)

I don't want to be mean but why do you want a gauge that goes past 120
you might be able to get 120 but it would take a long time to get there and no one really has any buisness going that fast crotch rockets do it all the time but they are just being tools

ya i had it up to 115 once and then i got a tuner and pegged it at 120 once. i just wanna see how fast i can go. not a regular thing for me to be cruising that fast. im just curious, and ya i know curiosity killed the lawbreaking speeder.

oh and im not gonna spend that much on my 6er anymore (think im gonna do 5.4l swap gonna be difficult and bit pricy cuase im jumpin from a 6 to an 8 but eh) so if i cant find an option for cheap ill just barrow someones gps or just not do anything

trying to max out our v6 mustangs is like a kid in a smart car drag racing....it is pointless and wreckless not to mention my two best friends were killed speeding. Hitting a tree at 100+miles per hour doesn't have any good results. Yea every once in awhile i dick around with other mustangs and such but i never go into triple digits.

you really don't need gauges that go past 120 on 6 ers... the fastest i ever brought up my mustang to was 115 MPH. ( i have a tuner.) if you want a gauge cvluster that goes past 120, get a mustang GT.

you must be doing something wrong then. from factory my stang was limited to 115 with the tuner i removed the limiter and hit 120 easy i could probably get to 125 or more but ill probably just barrow someones gps not really looking to spend money right now got a project in mind

I'm not street racing i already got this schpeel from everyone on here a few months a go

Aren't you making min. wage? yah, don't think you can afford to blow an engine...

if i can remember about 2 years back on this forum we talked about this and we concluded that a v6 could hit 136 if u removed the speed limiter
anyone remeber this conversation?

yeah. The V6 is governed by ford at 117, when it is removed by a tuner you are then limited by power/aerodynamics. I remember someone claiming to have hit around 135-136 area with full bolt ons and the automatic.

hahahahaha

My old '90 Geo Tracker got up to about 85mph, then it started leaning back because the wind was hitting the front so hard. Haha, I remember having friends pick the thing up and move it from it's parking spot to the middle of the school parking lot. Hahaha, good times.
