is there a way to remove the mustang pony emblem on the fender of my car?

For me to say ANYTHING about you putting an emblem that is stock on an 04 v6 onto an 01 v6 would be so hypocritical it would be hysterical.

Chris, I can see where you are coming from.. BUT...

When someone adds a Roush bumper, spoiler, rockers, etc. to a GT there is no "false advertising" or fake badging. What are the majority of Roush Mustangs? GT's with a face lift.

What he is wanting to do is no better than wanting to put a cobra emblem on a sixxer, or a roush badge on a GT. It's kind-of like putting SS or Z28 badges on a 3.4/3.8l Camaro, or putting SRT-4 emblems on a base model Neon.

This kid doesn't seem to understand that putting a 40th anniversary badge on his car is calling it something that it isn't, like false advertisement. PLUS he has been so disrespectful to everyone that has given him advice that it is becoming rediculous.

Gotti, if you don't want advice don't post on a PUBLIC forum and if you do post don't expect for people to go along with your opinions or thoughts every time. I suggest that you either suck it up and learn not to get so butthurt or go post on a Civic forum, they could probably give you advice on 18/6" rims & tire combos.

Putting 40th anniversary emblems on a "non" 40th anniversary car ranks right up with putting cobra badges on a non cobra, gt emblems on a v6, putting si emblems on a non vtech civic, stuff like that

its a v6, of course it does not have the out put of a gt, so most people who got a v6 either went with the cheaper price, or they went for just the look of the car, and want better gas millage, etc. So if we wont it to look better we will do anything we wont to it, including different emblems not matter if they belong to an 04 car or what not

how is changing the emblem not a body part
who categorized things and put them in this category and that, its all body parts. I mean i could see is the thing actually said 04 anniversary but it does not, no one will even care about it being on an 01, no one gives a fuck, except you people on this forum.

40th anniversary isnt really a rank... it just means that it was an 04 model. doesnt meant its any better than any other new edge stang, they are all built the same. my .02

If you wanted to be picky, the 04 is a "3.9" his is a "3.8". Its still not a 40th anniversary.

Gotti, I see where your getting at, but maybe you haven't been around in the mustang scene, or even on these forums for that long. Its hard to understand but as a GT owner, this indeed does get me pretty pissed. If a V6 Mustang makes their car look like a GT, thats fine, thats awesome, in fact it looks pretty good. But as soon as they put GT emblems on that car, its very frustrating. Don't really know how to explain it, but it does. I would never put Mach 1 or Cobra emblems on my GT, because that would take away from the actual Mach 1's and Cobra's, and what makes them special enough to use those badges.

Now as for your 40th anniversary badges, i don't find that all too bad, and you probably wouldn't of gotten that much shit, if you didnt make all those other threads, about 17x7's and shit like that.

Us Mustang owners can be very picky, because we take pride in what we do. There is so much you can do to a mustang to make it your own, but we believe it has to be done tastefully, otherwise it can turn ugly. Like this:


We spend alot of money on our cars, and most of us share the same belief as to what looks good and whats appropriate. Maybe how we approach it isn't always correct, but some might take offense to a 40th badge on an 01. Gotta expect that.

Also, I'm white. Doesn't make me rich. Doesn't make me a geek. In fact, i have a pretty good job, where i earn all my money FOR my car, and i have a pretty good looking girlfriend. I have alot of friends, and this is just a place where we can talk with others about our common interest. Mustangs.

putting a 40th badge in my view i dont see how that is really poser, it is not claiming to be a GT.

and that new edge with the s197 front is hideous.
