This guys is hilarious

As far as street racing goes it's wrong and I do like the track more but I have done it. Nothing "serious" like actually setting something up just your casual stop light encounter to 60-70.

Anyways that's neither here nor there I just think it's funny this guy gets that upset from this. I remember when I was like him young and dumb too sensitive to take critisism or think things out fully...Man I'm glad I've grown up

at least his s/n matches his personallity, lol. anywho, both "subject A" and "subject B" over-reacted here. and yea it does seem to be a double standard when it comes to the "older" crowd and the "younger" crowd racing. but yea there aren't many street racing accidents, but it seems when they happen someone innocent gets killed. locally it was a construction worker on the side of the road. who know's how many a yr there are, just take the sh*t to the track. everyone.

Welp....since I started this ****.......

#1 - I have always consistantly bashed street racing on this site. I don't surf the site looking for all threads, but, if I come across one, I generally say something about it. I can't help what another admin/mod etc....says......it's my opinion.....and I RARELY ever close or delete a thread because of it. I prefer to have the debate as I think it is healthy.

#2 - Posting about an illegal act is just bad judgement no matter what the activity is.

#3 - There are different levels of street racing and you need to draw the line. I am sorry fellas, but I see the difference between someone posting a thread getting people to show up for a street race with the appointed place and time etc.... vs someone saying "hey I pulled on the vette....". Even if you street race, I know you will agree that we can't be that obvious.

#4 - As a community we are here to remind people. This does not make someone a hippacrit. It is OK to tell someone that they should not do something or learn from a lesson they one had. Sometimes the reminders go both ways.

I dunno, I'm a youngster, I'll admit I've been to the street races, I'll even say I sitll go almost regularly. Its not exactly races, more a less a group of us guys go out to some lonely road and sit and talk, hang out, maybe some of the other guys will burn some tires up when they leave. If others show up, then they might go ahead and line cars up, and we are normally gone within a half hour.

I do the stoplight stuff..on a weekly basis, I mean, its pure fun, yea its against the law, and yea, they'll impound your car just like you were lining up and someone was flagging you.

I do know that someone can get killed, and I don't see myself as an exception, sometimes at the light, I don't think about what can potentially happen.

If youre on here, and you're modding a mustang, spending thousands of dollars, and you drive it on the street, you can bet your *** you're going to want to see what it does next to a vette at a light, or a camaro.. You've bought a muscle car and started the work on it for a reason.

Now, however, I DO believe this type of **** is meant for a track, and I DO go to the track, to watch. I don't have enough done to go ahead and line up at a tree.

The guy that started this thread is a complete jackass however. If you can't handle a bash and you want to act like you're 13 and start calling people names ect, then dude, you need to gtfo and grow up some.

My .50 ;x

At least your our honest, but you will eventually grow out of it - lol

As far as modding a car so it means you are soo tempted to street race your can't help it.....not true. 99% of the people who own SUV's never go off-road, but they buy them for the look or the idea of what they can do.

I go to car shows all the time and they are littered with guys with fast cars that not only don't race them on the street, but barely drive them at all in the first place.

Your temptation is the direct result of being young. As you age, you recognize the difference between a desire and an action. Case in point, I have been with the same....and only one women for 15 years - lol

I feel practically ZERO temptation to race anyone on the street no matter what they have. Besides the legal issues, what does it really prove? There is always a faster car out there and winning a race does not put food on the table or earn you a higher place in heaven unless you are doing it for a living (racing that is).

I love drag racing. I do go to races....at track events.

When you have spent many years working hard for what you have and don't feel invincable like you do when you are 16 or 18 years old, you will quickly realize how silly it all is. When mommy has bought you a car (I am not saying this is the case with everyone of course....) it is easy to not care what happens.

Bottom line.....have fun with your car! Be proud of it especially if you did it on your own and keep the racing at the track.

BTW, you know the blower on my car? I bought it from a kid who wrecked his street racing. He had no insurance because of previous violations and his mom bought him the car. Guy clipped him from behind and spun him around hitting three sides on a rail. Not even his fault he said! Yeah, but he was street racing.

i agree with you about the experience level not being there with us younger "kids". on the other hand, **** happens to everyone. ya'll older guys might mistake the gas for the brake and slam it thru a conveinant store window on ya'lls next race, lol.

Street racing is bad enought but I understand what Jack is saying. I have seen alot of young street racers dodge through traffic trying to pass one another. While an older person will say thats looks dangerous and stop the younger driver may want to try to pass at any cost. It doesnt make it any better but I guess its all a macho thing.

The only way to stop this is to have so many legal drag strips that it would not make sense to race in the streets.

Yes, it is hypocritical. That is a fact.

Now just for a SECOND, take a quick glance at the maturity level shown by Lance, and the Maturity level shown by the homo who started this thread.

Quite frankly, im a LITTLE less worried about lance lining up next to a vette and pulling a quick 0-75 race than this little retard running multiple pulls against all his idiot friends.

Now, i aint 75 years old like Old Man Lance, but i AM 30, and even at 30 i can see the basic immaturity that a lot of younger people show when they DO run a street race vs how some older people do.

It aint the old guys getting thier teeth pulled out of thier brain on the side of the street after a street race, it is the retarded kids with barly any experience behind the wheel acting stupid.

So, yes, it is hypocritical, but the older you get the more you will see the difference between a kid street racing and an adult.

...

now im gonna go put on my fire suit.

and can somebody bring that little retard who started this thread back? i diddnt have a chance to have fun with him
That is some funny ****!

What kills me about racing is what does it prove? Some V-6 Mustang is faster then a Sunfire who will only make 100 excuses as to why he lost? And, all to risk life, limb, fines, and the loss of your car.

If you were my kid and I caught you, you would not be driving a car until you were old enough to support yourself.

As an admin on this site, can you be less obvious with the street racing posts? Seriously, think about it. Would you make a post and post a vid of you and your buds smoking dope or robbing a store? Don't discuss a blatantly illegal act on this site.

Look, we all drive Mustangs because we like fast cars.....I get it! But, racing is for the track, not for the streets that we share with everyone else. Talking about a little pull here and there.......no big deal. Seriously, I don't care and those comments are welcome.

Ok, Ill admit that typing a post about racing Contours and sunfires is a bit like typing a post about being 30 and beating up a 13 year old, but bashing the dude for street racing is also stupid. Its especially stupid to lecture the dude about the risks and consequences of street racing IF YOU WERENT THERE and IF YOU DONT KNOW THE CIRCUMSTANCES, such as how far away from civilization they might have been, or how late at night it was, or whatever...and if they guy lives in kansas, I wouldnt worry about him hitting anything but a family of opossums, unless theres a family of uncivilized natives running out in his way. And honestly, the risks of street racing are basically the same risks as racing on a track, give or take a few., and you know what Im talking about. So why not just keep it to your self, and let people post without having to worry about getting some lame lecture.

Spoken like a true 17 yo.
The circumstances and wether or not someone was there to witness it are completly unimportant. So what if there was only one car out where someone might be racing. If my wife and kids are that one car and they are killed. Little Mr. Sunfire slayer (or anyone else) should pray for his death.
