brake light goes on when i accelerate from 0mph...

hello every1,

for the past 2 weeks the brake light goes on whenever i accelerate from a stopped position. It goes on for about 2 seconds and goes off. I also noticed it when i go over a speed bump.

I never use my hand brake, is this something i should worry about or is some sort of sensor going bad?

sounds like the controleld open is being shorted out under heavy movement. sounds like a wiring problem. i'd check all the connections and look for any exposed wiring.

LOL mine does the same thing. I'll have it checked out next time I'm wiring something...

just dont accelerate froma stopped position or go over speed bumps and ya'll be fine...

@Jack The Ripper, any idea where to start? Anything I can quickly pop the hood open and take a look? Or is this something in which I'll need to take out my center console to look for a short?!?!
