Default ? about right size tire

well i have a 99 v6 5spd i got steeda ultra lights on the car now and the tires need to be replaced they were on when i bought the car and they are 245's shoudl i go bigger then that or would i just lose power since i have a v6

really?? the sales guys here told me to get 275 40 17 when i get my bulitts.

The bullits will be wider and able to handle the extra size.

You'll be fine with 265...you could probably get 275 but I would just stick with 265's

With 17 x 9's, I would get the 275's. I don't think there is much of a weight difference in the weight of 245's and 275's. Besides, the rims should be lighter than stock. The 275's will look great.

What kind of tires are you getting cause some tires tend to bulge more than others so that can also make a difference...I've seen the same rims with the same size tires but the brand of tire makes a big difference, one guy had the tire protecting the rim and on the other one the rim was sticking out farther than the rim.

17x8 - 245/4x/17
