18's are as big as anyone should go. Also keep in mind that bigger rims slow the car down down too.

Haha, nice Gotti. FTW!!!
If he wants 20's, he can get 20's. i hope he is happy with them. That way he wont learn the hard way that he should have gotten 17's or 18's.... ftw of course.

I ask this because I like the look of the 20" deep dish bullit rims on the rear but not on the front because it's too much in the front... I'm thinking the 18 in the front 20 in the rear would give my 04 gt a unique staggered look.. any opinions on this??? I know I might get flamed for this one...

.... STAY AWAY FROM 20s.
Guys with 20s are the ones that we post pictures of and laugh at. 18s MAX. 18x9 and 18x10 315s in the back You want your car to get attention..but not the bad sort..like "what the fuck was that guy thinking" sort of attention. Any other mustang enthusiast that knows wtf hes doing will laugh his ass off at you..

I was just curious if anyone has done the 18-20 stagger with the wheels here ... I'm not trying to comform to what the majority thinks about 20' inch wheels because each his own... I love my gt but there are a lot of mustangs out there and I want to make mine different than the next... If you like 20's on you stang thats cool ... if you like 18's or 17's thats cool too... I have a open mind about it... I have seen 20's all around on a 99-2004 mustang (depending on style) that look awsome compared to some 18's on stangs I have seen... 22's would definately be too much in my opinion but that's my opinion and if thats what someone likes then let it be..

20s dont match the car...unless you're blind to what matching is..
A 2 inch stagger is retarded...the nose of your car would be planted in the asphault..

i personally dont understand the whole idea of getting the biggest rim you can find, it makes more sence to me to find a rim that actually fits with the car and compliments the car rather than dominates it. but if you want to slow your car down with 20 inch rims so you can catch the people laughing at you for having rediculously big rims on yer car, well, thats all your perrogative. but dont come in actling like her hard cause you want to slow yer car down and make it look like a donk. nobody is overly impressed. lol I HAVE seen some SN95's with 17's in the front and 18's in the rear, they did look pretty slick. i HIGHLY reccommeend looking at pics of stangs on 20's before you buy them. That aside, welcome to the boards man, go hit up the "Introduce yourself" section and introduce yourself and post some pics of yer ride! |
