yup. most ppl think of young black males when they hear the word thug. But it also describes a style or a "look" as well I think.

anyway, the new rims Gotti is looking at are promising. I think they will look good on his car.

I'm glad rim choice was easy for me. It was Fr500s from the first time I saw them.

it takes a while to find somthing just right. if u just jump into to it u might regret it later.

GottiDC I hope you can see that people are trying to help you make a wise decision. The majority of the rims that you posted are normally found on imports and a mustang is about as far as an import as possible. We helped you once said thanks then we keep trying to get you to understand your not driving a Honda Civic and then you tell us none of us have a life... were here to help people with cars and yes we all have a life why don't you read up on the member professions thread. Since we clearly are to stupid to help you I guess google Import forums and you will find answers that you prefer

then you will be talking to people that think this looks good:

How many F%$king times do we have to tell you which rims to get. its simple, step one- go to americanmuscle.com. step two- scroll through some wheel until you see a design you like. step three- now choose a finish for the wheel. step four- click the proceed to check out button. step five- click on the tire selection and select a tire thats best for your needs that will fit your rim size. step six- click the proceed to checkout tab. step seven- enter the information required and submit the order. step eight- wait for your s$%t to be delivered. yours sincerely.

yeah, there are like 10 mustangs in my town, they all have stock rims(excpet for one of them). black bullitts aren't common around here and i get compliments about em all the time. so its not how many you see or are common on the internet just around your area. half the mustangs are stock here and mine stands out the most.

opinions are like assholes....blah blah...

but... there are certain rim styles that are for a Mustang, so far the Enkei (sp?) wheels he is looking at fit the look of a mustang the most. the others really were designed to be on a different shape/type car. thats why they look bad on a mustang...thats a little less of an opinion thing really..."designed with the car in mind" means they were designed to fit the shape/type/theme of a particular car. Those other rims he was looking at might look good on a truck perhaps, or an SUV....but never a mustang.

just because ya like the rim, doesnt mean it looks good on the car you are going to put it on.

example...goes with the car well and designed with the car they were going on in mind----->

Don't listen to zig, his FR500s aren't even black!

lol.

But yeah, those first ones you posted (black) aren't bad, but 8" wide might still be cutting it close, are the offset patterns and lug patterns on those wheels matching to our cars?

As far as the racial thing is concerned, you're a black dude, who cares, you have a mustang, we're all the same. I'm just glad to see you're not interested in putting gaudy 22" chrome wheels on your Mustang. lol

Have you given the 1995 Chrome Cobra R's any consideration? Their pattern is similar to the one you posted, but it's a more common wheel with our cars. Plus it's 9" wide.

Then of course you've got the 03 Cobra wheels, chrome or black, 17x9 and 17x.10.5

I've yet to see a mustang with those and it'd look pretty nice on a lot of cars.

Do yourself a favor and keep this in mind when shopping for rims, you want them to compliment the car not dominate it visually.

all those rims with the V's or with bright colors just wont look good ni my view, go with something 5 pointed and without a lot of flash, any flash on it make sure it matches with the car and fits in it.

You have a great car, dont make the dumbshit mistakes that some (myself included) have made because you spend more money in the end. Look at the car as a whole, find parts that compliment the car and look like they belong, rather than getting stuff that stands way out. There are lots of ways to personalize it where it ehnances the vehicle as a whole, and no not all of them have to look like clones.

Take zigs car and mine for example, they couldnt possible look any diffrent for mustangs, however, they are the same body style, and neither of them have any dominating feature that says LOOK AT THIS RIM, or LOOK AT MY TAIL LIGHTS, or LOOK AT MY NEONS, instead both cars as a whole look great.

here are the red ones

and here are the black ones

i think the black and chrome ones are the best. so what im goin to do is buy the black ones, then buy the chrome plates to put on them, then i will be good.
