Red face I need some opinions about Rims

Yea I am a girl and Know NOTHING about rims and tires. In fact this in my first time buying rims or tires. HA Anyways. So I got a 2000 Mustang GT with a stalker body kit on it. I need to know what size rims and tires would look best. I am not planning on lowering it anytime soon. Also do I need spacers?

First- Welcome.

My first bit of advice is shop at americanmuscle.com. They have free shipping on most orders, offer competitve prices, and mount and balance wheels and tires for free if you order from them.
It depends on the color of your car. If it's a darker color (black, blue, green) go with chrome bullits or FR500's. If it's a lighter color (silver, white, grey)
go with black wheels.

Heres a link to american muscle's wheels
http://www.americanmuscle.com/99-04-...eels-rims.html

In my opinion, go with 17x9" wheels in the front and 18x10[.5]" in the back.

As for spacers, it depends mostly of the backspacing of the wheel and the size tire you are putting on the back. Unless you are running a 305 size tire or larger on the back wheel you sould be fine. More than likely you will not need spacers.
Hope i helped

17x9" wheels in the front will rub just so you know.

Post some pictures of your car and we'll give you our opinion on what would look best. Size wise, color, style, everything. Otherwise its a shot in the dark.

Ummm Whaaa? is 17x9 the stock size? Umm wait it may be 17x8.5.... Either way. It wont rub with the right sized tires.

I like the 18x9s myself. the bigger rims will help fill that fender gap above the wheel. thats what im running on my 02 and I also ordered them with the tires from americanmuscle. Just order from them wich ever you choose and get the recomended tire size that they offer and you wont regret it.

What ever wheels size you choose (18x9s or 17x9s) please.... PLEASE... and I know its whats (supposed to be) hot. Please dont go and put 20 inch rims or bigger on that thing! 18 inch max IMO.

17X9 will not rub. I run a 275 on the front with a 17x9" tire... no problems with rubbing.

What color is your car so we can give better opinions?

18x9 in the front is fine- it will not rub. I recom going for an 18x10[.5] in the rear. You will be able to fit bigger tires and you will also get a deep dish.

I would go with 275's or less in the front and 295's or less in the back. For your setup, a 245 in the front and a 275 in the rear will be fine. If you feel funny about using 2 different sized tires than go with 255's or 265's all around.

I don't have a picture right now, but its black. In fact, still in the shop getting a brand new paint job. I think ill just try the 18X9 all the way around and if it rubs ill get the spacers..

My 275s rub upfront on a 17x9...FYI. Did it the same before and after lowering, not a big deal, though. Steering rack eliminator can fix that problem.

NOW your talkin! Get the 18x9 in front with 265 tire and get the 18x10 out back with a 315 tire. Get em from american muscle and do the recomended tire sizes. Thats the best-est easiest way there is.

I agree with this. I have 18x9s now and will be buying two 18x10 from americanmuscle.com when I get new tires. I will run 265 in the front, 295+ in the rear. My stock rims are 17x9 with 275s and I don't have any tire rub issues. As for the color of the rims, that is up to you. I have chrome rims for my black car, sometimes wish I had black rims. I like the look of my grey stock rims aswell.

yeah 18" rims will look nice no bigger than that. On a black car chrome looks the best in my opinion.

You will be very thankful for the wider wheels in the back. Congrads. Now all you need is some fat tires.
